 The snt game

          The snt game was one of the most popular games in ancient Egypt, and it was not just for having fun during spare times, but it was connected with many religious  ideas such as the rebirth of the deceased. In ancient Egyptian language the word snt means " to cross, to reach", the board game was in a rectangular shape, the board game was divided into three rows, and each row was divided into ten squares, the most distinctive thing in the board game is the last five squares, which was painted with a small scenes differ from one to another.

The last square on the board game was the most important one , this square was named " The house of rebirth" and there was a frog drawn on this one, and the frog was the symbol of goddess Heket which was responsible for the rebirth of the deceased, so according to what we said before we can say that the winning of the game is a sign of the deceased success in having the rebirth in the other world. It can finally said that the snt game was not only a game, but it carried a deeper meaning which made the artists of ancient Egypt draw the snt game on walls of tombs for both Kings, and Individual.
